Cabo Church

· Outreach programs in Los Cabos, distributing bags of food & clothing at Partner churches.

· Providing food for 200+ kids at Pastor Alberto’s Friday evening outreach in Colonia Las Palmas and food for 150 kids on Saturday afternoons in Colonia El Caribe. (This is in addition to meals served at the kitchens.)

· Providing food and gifts for the La Paz Children’s Center.

· Provided 1/3 of the funding for building a new church & food kitchen in San Jose.

· Providing food and gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  In 2009, we collected & distributed over 1,200 Christmas gifts. 

· Coordinating visiting Mission Teams from churches in the United States and Canada. Taking them on tours of our existing operations, food shopping for the kids and planning outreach programs where these mission teams distribute food & clothing.

· Accompanying guests of Cabo Church to the barrios allowing them to see the progress being made, many of these guests donate monetarily, or purchase food for our cause.

· Collecting & sorting clothing, shoes and miscellaneous items into categories for infants, children, men and women and distributing them through our partner churches.

· Provide “special assistance food bags” to volunteer moms who work and serve in the kitchens.

The approximate cost to operate one kitchens is $350-400 a month.

All 6 kitchens are open & operation, Cabo Church will be facilitating the serving of over 3,600 meals a month.  This number will increase by the end of 2010.

Our team has been able to provide most of the kitchen equipment,

including stove, refrigerator, pots, pans, cooking utensils,

plates, cups, etc. for the 6 kitchens. 

Much of the construction labor is being done by the local church volunteers & ministry volunteers.  Funding comes from visitors &

those that call Cabo Church home.
